Titan was a buck we sold as a bottle kid in 2021, but had the opportunity to buy back in September 2022 when his owner had to disperse her herd. Unfortunately, he was never disbudded. He was one that impressed me with his width right away as a kid. We love his hard working dam Tessa who has held up very well and been very productive into her older age. In 2022 as a 9yr old she scored VG88 VEVV while milking 13lbs a day throughout the summer. Tessa will be 10years old in the Spring of 2023 and we are starting to think about retiring her after kidding. With that said, she has not yet had the chance to heavily impact on our herd like we really want. Titan was the first kid born to Tessa on our farm and Tessa's 2022 single doeling was the 2nd. Bringing Titan back into the herd gives us some security going forward knowing we have more of Tessa here before she is retired. Looking at Titan's paternal side, we are also bringing back a buck that we regretted selling too early. Titan's sire, Kyle, is out of a beautiful productive French Alpine doe from the Journey's-End herd. She has one of the most beautiful high & wide rear udder arches I have seen. On top of her rear udder, she has a nice snuggly attached fore udder. We had sold Kyle in the fall of 2020 in an attempt to reduce numbers. We only have one Kyle daughter in the herd that freshened as a yearling in 2022. She shows a lot of potential and scored VG81 as a FF with the highest rear udder height in the herd.

While the intention was to keep Titan for at least another breeding season, plans have changed and he has left the herd. His horns kept getting caught in everything and they were too large to "take care" of humanely at this point. Before he left, Titan did manage to breed several of our girls for 2023 kids which we are excited about.
